Padmavati: Shahid Kapoor asserts royalty in the new poster

Even though Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavati’ is struggling to get a smooth release in certain parts of India, the rest of the country is quite excited for the film. The makers too are ensuring that the buzz around the film doesn’t fade away. A few days back we witnessed a yet another ravishing character poster of the film featuring Rani Padmavati aka Deepika Padukone and today, the makers have unveiled the character poster of Raja Maharawal Ratan Singh aka Shahid Kapoor. The first few posters of ‘Padmavati’ featuring Shahid had revealed his look from the battlefield. But the current poster shows Shahid in his regal, king avatar. Completely drenched in his character, Shahid looks every bit of a royal king in this poster. From the pagdi to the attire to the poise, Shahid Kapoor exuberates Rajputana attitude and we love it.

We now await new poster featuring Allaudin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh from the film.

‘Padmavati’ is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s one ambitious project that narrates the glorious story of Rajput queen Padmavati who performed Jauhar ( the act of jumping into the fire) to save her honour. The film is slated to release on December 1, 2017, in India.
