Every morning, we come across a new controversy over Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. The movie which has been mired in vivid issues with the Karni Sena members and other politicians just doesn’t seem to get any sort of relief. The main reason for this outburst is that people fear that it will destroy facts and there would be some romantic dream sequence between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji’s characters.
Now, director and writer Sanjay Leela Bhansali has rubbished these reports of a dream sequence between Khilji and Padmavati. Said Bhansali, “There is no interaction whatsoever between the characters played by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.” He will be seen sharing a video recording where he will address the issue and state that there is absolutely no interaction between Rani Padmavati and Khilji in the movie. A source close to Bhansali said, “We’ve been going hoarse saying there is absolutely no dream sequence featuring Deepika and Ranveer. They haven’t shot together in ‘Padmavati’ for a single day. We don’t know who started this rumour of the two being together. It has caused monstrous mischief for the project and created havoc with Mr Bhansali’s peace of mind.” We hope these statements from the man himself are heard loud and clear by all the protesters.
Talking of the movie, Deepika Padukone plays the titular role of Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh essays the negative role of Alauddin Khilji while Shahid Kapoor portrays the character of Maharawal Ratan Singh, Padmavati’s husband and the king of Chittor. The movie is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
