Pahlaj Nihalani to be replaced by Prakash Jha as CBFC Chief?

CBFC chief, Pahlaj Nihalani has been in news for all the wrong reasons. From not certifying ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, and asking for ‘intercourse’ word to be deleted from ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, he has only been getting negative response from everyone. However, now here’s a good news for all the cinema lovers.

Reportedly, Pahlaj Nihalani has called a meeting on July 28 at Thiruvanthapuram for all the CBFC members. According to a leading daily, sources from the of information and broadcasting have reported that Nihlani might be replaced.

Pahlaj will be replaced as CBFC chief, and the new CBFC chief will be filmmaker Prakash Jha. Reportedly, even filmmaker and actor Chandraprakash Dwivedi is being considered for the position. (Also Read: Pahlaj Nihalani slams a defamation case against IIFA organisers)

Well, let’s wait and watch if these reports will turn out to be true or not. And if these reports are true, it will be interesting to see who becomes the new CBFC chief and how he or she performs their duty.
