As much as we love IIFA and all its glitzy affairs, everyone doesn’t find it pleasing. CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani is all annoyed with the IIFA fever and questions, who is funding all the fun after all?
“Look at the hypocrisy. They haven’t even nominated Aamir Khan for Dangal and Akshay Kumar for Airlift and Rustom just because they wouldn’t attend their weekend holiday plans masquerading as an awards function.” he lashed out. He further asks why everyone calls it the ‘International Indian Films Award’ when no other film fraternity except of Bollywood is even present at the awards?
“Initially we had cinema from various states getting token representation at the awards. Now we only have Bollywood. So why do they call themselves the International Indian films awards? It’s such a sham! Bollywood is not Indian cinema,” he signs off angrily.
We wonder how Bollywood would react to this!
