Raees

After Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’, Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Raees’ is all set to hit the theatres in Pakistan. We had earlier reported that the film was in run for a quick release in Pakistani theatres.

Latest updates suggest that the Government of Pakistan has given an NOC (No Objection Certificate) to it. Right now, the film is awaiting green signal from the Censor Boards of different areas of Pakistan.

“Punjab and Karachi Board have cleared the film without cuts. The Islamabad board is yet to clear the film, and they will be watching it on Monday. After that, the screens for the film will be decided,” a source from Pakistan told a leading daily. (Also Read: Mahira Khan: ‘Raees’ will do amazing in Pakistan)

Pakistan had put a ban on Bollywood films, after India restricted Pakistani artistes in India as an aftermath of Uri terror attack. ‘Kaabil’ was the first film to be granted a release in Pakistan post the ban was lifted. Presently, Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which also stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, is being showcased there.

However, the release date of ‘Raees’ is yet unknown. When asked about the same, Mobashir Hasan, chairman of the Pakistan Censor Board told the daily, “We are going to follow the due process. I would not know about the release date. For that, you should speak to the distributor.”
