Palak aka Kiku Sharda sent to 14 days Judicial Custody for mimicking Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Every weekend Kapil Sharma and his team of ‘Comedy Night With Kapil’ put up a hilarious show for the audience. Comedian Kiku Sharda, who plays the role of Palak in this comedy show, is an integral and one of the most important team member of CNWK crew. But, unfortunately, some of his antics on this show has brought some trouble for the comedian.

In one of the episodes, Kiku Sharda, apparently mimicked the leader of the religious group Dera Sacha Sauda, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The followers of this self-proclaimed godman who came into the limelight with his film ‘MSG – The Messenger’ were supposedly not happy with Kiku’s act and claimed that Kiku hurt their religious sentiments. The followers filed a police complaint against the Comedian on January 1, 2016. The latest update on this case says that Kiku has been arrested and sent into 14 Judicial Custody in Kaithal, Haryana.

Kiku had earlier sent an apology to all those people who claimed that their religious sentiments were hurt by Kiku’s act. He had said that “I did not mean to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. I am sorry, I was just following a script. I’m an artist who is given a role, a get up & told what to do. I’ve already apologised, I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiments.”
