Palak Tiwari confesses to her ‘one-sided love’ for mother Shweta Tiwari

This Eid, Salman Khan returned to his favourite slot at the box office with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Interestingly, the film also marks the debut of many fresh faces, including the daughter of Shweta Tiwari, Palak Tiwari. The mother-daughter duo are very close in life but recently, the debutante made an interesting revelation about their bond.

Palak shared how secure Shweta felt because she was working with Salman Khan in her debut. She said, “I feel she would be keeping much more tabs on me if she didn’t realise I was doing a Salman sir film. But she feels so secure that it’s a film with him so everything must be going so smoothly that she doesn’t worry as much.”

Palak Tiwari on her relationship with mom Shweta Tiwari

Giving a quirky take on their relationship, Palak Tiwari told Mid-Day that she has a ‘one-sided love’ for mother Shweta Tiwari. She insisted, “Also in general in our relationship, it’s not a 50-50. It’s a proper ek tarfa pyaar (one-sided love). I’m obsessed with my mom and she just bears me. She has to, because I’m her daughter, but no, I’m obsessed with my mom. I still call her 30 times a day and she ignores most of my calls.”

Shweta’s heartfelt note for Palak’s debut

On the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shweta Tiwari penned a heartfelt note for daughter Palak Tiwari. She wrote, “Watch my Peetee aka Palak Tiwari as Muskaan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in theatres now. So proud of you my bachcha.”

Palak features opposite Jassie Gill in the Eid release. Apart from them and Salman, KKBKKJ also stars Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Vinali Bhatnagar, Vijender Singh, Venkatesh, Bhoomika Chawla and Jagapathi Babu. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has collected over Rs 40 crores at the domestic box office in its first two days.
