‘Panipat’ first look poster: Sanjay Dutt looks ferocious as Ahmad Shah Abdali

In Bollywood, no one makes historical period dramas the way Ashutosh Gowariker does. In the historical drama genre, Gowariker has given us gems like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, so naturally, our expectations from his upcoming film ‘Panipat‘ are already sky-high. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, the film is based on the third battle of Panipat. Today the makers have unveiled Sanjay’s character-poster from this period drama.

In the film, Dutt will be seen playing the role of Ahmad Shah Abdali. Sharing his poster, Sanjay wrote, “Ahmad Shah Abdali – Death strikes where his shadow falls.”

Wearing battle armour, and in those kohled eyes look, Dutt is looking ferocious as Ahmad Shah Abdali. You can check out his first look below:

Now we are eagerly looking forward to the first look poster of Arjun and Kriti. The film also stars Zeenat Aman, Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl in a pivotal role.

Based on the third Battle which took place in 1761 at Panipat, this period drama is produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. ‘Panipat’ will hit the silver screens on December 6, 2019.

Interestingly, the film will clash with Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’.
