Pankaj Tripathi opens up about how he managed to woo his wife much before he became famous

Pankaj Tripathi has been in the news off late all thanks to his show ‘Mirzapur 2’ doing fantastically on OTT. The show has been one of the most-watched shows on the planet and it’s because of this only that he has been trending on social media ever since. Pankaj chatted with Bollywood Bubble about the show recently. Have a look at the interview right here:

During the show No Filter Neha, when asked about when and why he came to Mumbai, Pankaj Tripathi went candid. He said, “2004 mein 16 October ko. Yeh sab karte karate Patna gaya, Patna mein theatre kiya 7-8 saal, 24×7 almost 4 saal lagatar maine theatre kiya phir laga acting ki training bhi kar leni chahiye. Theatre hi karna tha, tab bhi cinema mein nahi aana tha mujhe, tab bhi theatre karna tha. Phir drama school chala gaya. 3 saal wo training puri karke wapas Patna gaya. Patna mein 2-4 mahina raha, usmein realise hua ki bahot mushkil hai Hindi theatre karke survive karna. Then Mumbai aa gaya. Phir laga ki Bombay mein chalo wahi chalte hain, kamse kam apni toh rozi roti chal jayegi. Ki mein jo kaam hai, Jo kaam mujhe pasand hai ussi kaam se main apna ghar chala paunga. Issi liye Mumbai aaya, Mumbai main hero banne nahi aaya tha sirf survival ke liye aaya tha ki jiss kaam mein maza aata hai uss kaam se rozi roti chahiye toh Mumbai mein hi milegi (sic).”

Pankaj Tripathi, on being asked about his plan of action when he came to Bombay and how he wooed his wife, said, “Nahi nahi, planning kiya tha na, ek samajdar ladki se shaadi karli thi – mehnat se, mehnat se. Woh teaching mein thi. Maine hi bola B.Ed karlo, aur B.Ed karlo toh Mumbai mein teacher ban jaogi, ghar bhi chalte rahega aur main bhi acting ka try karte rahunga, toh planning yehi this (sic).”

When prodded about his personal life, Pankaj opened about why he feels his wife and he are the perfect pair. He said, “Hum dono mein khasiyat kya hai ki main apni zindagi ki aadhi life maine almost, 45 ka hua mein, toh 23 years main gaon raha hu, bilkul gaon mein, ekdam rural India, ab sadak mere gaon pohonchi hai aur meri wife hamesha metros mein rahi hai, Who Kolkata mein paida hui. Main bada raw material tha, toh unhone thoda sa rasta dikha ke, thoda zindagi ke baare mein samjaya, toh unko dekh dekh ke sikhe toh hum log bohot acche tarike se ek rural aur ek metro ke mile jhule roop hai hum dono. Kyunki dono ki apni apni experience hote hai, apne apne samaj hoti hai – ek metro life ki aur rural life ki. Luckily humare ghar mein dono hai. Matlab agar wo nahi hoti thi toh mein toh aisa tha ki bola na mein ke sadhuon ke sath betha tha Banaras mein. Abhi bhi main kahin kisi sadhu ke sath kahin Himalaya mein baitha, pravachan kar rahe hote (sic).”
