My parents are better grandparents than they were parents, says Tusshar Kapoor

A lot eyeballs popped out when the news of Tusshar Kapoor becoming a father made it to the headlines. With the help of surrogacy, Tushhar became a father to a little boy and named him Laksshya. This little one is now the center of his life and the actor is doing his best to prove himself to be a good father. Recently, he opened up about how everyone in the house are supporting him by adding some ‘Laksshya-time’ in their respective busy schedules. Tusshar also said that his parents, Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, make up for better grandparents than parents.

He was quoted saying, “When Ekta and I were growing up, we barely saw our father because he was such a busy actor. The conventional family construct, where both parents are around, is great. But I think it is most important that a child grows up in an atmosphere of love and care. My parents are better grandparents than they were parents because back then, things were different. Now each of us has taken it upon ourselves to `weave some Laksshya time’ into our lives.”

Further he also explained how will he make Laksshya understand about this deal of being a single parent when he grows up. He said, “I am not shy about being a single father and I’m confident that when he is old enough to understand, I will be able to chat with him and make him understand how things are different as far as he is concerned. I will be able to tell him that he doesn’t have a mother around him, but he has the rest of us. I think the degree of honesty and transparency we have maintained about Laksshya is good for his psychology.”
