Actor-politician Paresh Rawal has called upon his fans to not disrupt the screening of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film “Dilwale”.
The 65-year-old “Hera Pheri” star said asking others not to watch the film is undemocratic.
“If one has problem with Shahrukh don’t see the film but don’t STOP OTHERS . That’s UNDEMOCRATIC!,” Rawal posted on Twitter.
Rohit Shetty-directed “Dilwale”, which released on Friday, has been facing protests over Shah Rukh’s comment on “religious intolerance”.
Activists from a religious group shouted slogans and opposed the screening of “Dilwale” in many cities.
Rawal, who worked with the 50-year-old actor in “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustan”, said disrupting shows is unethical.
“A film is made by hundreds of people and not by one so it’s unethical to disrupt the shows.”
