Paresh Rawal wishes he had a longer screen time in Dream Girl 2
Speaking with News18, he said, “My role in Dream Girl 2 is good but isn’t as big as Ayushmann’s. But it’s a very good role. Sometimes, it’s great if you have less screen time in a bad film. But when you have a subject like Dream Girl 2, a director like Raaj Shaandilyaa, and an actor like Ayushmann, then you would want to have a longer screen time in the film.”
Furthermore, he stated that it is difficult to get good comedy scripts these days. Paresh Rawal said, “The issue is you don’t get good scripts very often when it comes to comedy. It’s very difficult. So, in a situation like that, you would want to have a bigger role in a good comedy film. Much like any other actor, I also want a scope to perform better and have a chunkier role. All actors, after all, are greedy.”

Dream Girl 2 released on 25th August in the theatres. In the first week, Dream Girl 2 collected Rs 67 crore. The film is running successfully in the theatres. Dream Girl 2’s total collection now stands at Rs 86.16 crore. Ayushmann starrer is inching closer to Rs 100 crore mark. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial also stars Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Annu Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz.
Bollywood Bubble gave 3 stars to Dream Girl 2. A part of the review read, “Ayushmann as Pooja is superb. He walks, talks, and acts like a woman. However, Ayushmann is unnecessarily over-dramatic as Karam. Even with limited screen space, Ananya makes her presence felt as Pari. Their Mathura accent is bang on, leaving no room for error. Annu Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are undoubtedly a treat to watch in this one and so is the entire supporting cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa and Manjot Singh.”
