After parting ways on Shiddat 2, Parineeti Chopra to join hands with Dinesh Vijan on another project? Details inside

Earlier this year, while sharing their huge upcoming lineup of Maddock Films, Dinesh Vijan had announced one film with Parineeti Chopra too. That film was Shiddat 2 and was to feature Parineeti opposite Sunny Kaushal. However, a while ago, reports came that the actress has backed out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. And now, seems like a new collaboration is already on cards for the actor-producer duo.

Parineeti Chopra to team up with Dinesh Vijan

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Parineeti and Dinesh are set to team up for a musical film backed by Maddock. It is a women-led story set in the backdrop of the UK. A source close to the development revealed, “It’s a delightful and entertaining story centered around an independent woman, with Parineeti playing a bubbly character. While the director and other movie details are currently kept under wraps, the pre-production is set to commence next month. The makers are also in discussions with Anupam Kher for an important role.” Parineeti and Anupam had last year collaborated on Uunchai. The film is expected to go on floors around October 2023.

Parineeti was to star in Shiddat 2 but the film’s schedule got delayed due to some reasons. The new time table was conflicting with the actress’ upcoming marriage in the second half of the year. Parineeti Chopra is expected to have a lavish wedding with fiance Raghav Chadha in November 2023. And before that, she is supposedly going to start shoot for this new film.

Meanwhile, apart from this film, Parineeti has The Great Indian Rescue with Akshay Kumar. The film is slated to hit the theatres on October 5, 2023. Post that, she also has Imtiaz Ali’s biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh. It will have a direct-to-digital release on Netflix.
