Pathaan, Pushpa 2 & Jawan top IMDb’s Most Anticipated Films of 2023 list: Will this be Shah Rukh Khan’s year?

IMDb has released the list of top 20 most anticipated Indian movies. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has topped the list. Apart from Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki are also in the list. Without any doubt, his fans are beyond excited and eagerly waiting for the upcoming releases. Bollywood Badshah has three films lined up – Pathaan, Dunki and Jawan this year. The actor was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero. And this year, he will be back with a bang.

Will 2023 be the year for Shah Rukh Khan?

SRK is starting 2023 with the action-thriller Pathaan. Directed by Siddharth Aanand, Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Pathaan songs and teaser have already won hearts. Undoubtedly, Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan’s reunion onscreen will be a treat to watch. The Siddharth Aanand directorial is slated to release on 25^th January, 2023. And if reports are to be believed, Pathaan is made on a budget of Rs 250 crores.

The actor will be again seen in Atlee’s Jawan. The actor will be seen sharing screen space with Nayanthara in the same. If reports are to be believed, King Khan will be seen in a double role. How interesting is that! Recently, Atlee was spotted with his wife in the city and was asked about the production of Jawan, the director replied, “All good.” Jawan is slated to release on June 2, 2023. For the uninitiated, Jawan marks Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s first collaboration. SRK and Atlee collaborating has made many fans’ dream come true. The Atlee directorial’s reported budget is around Rs 200 crore. Atlee last directed Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil and it collected over Rs 171.26 crore. Jawan marks Atlee’s Hindi debut.

The Badshah of Bollywood also has Dunki with Taapsee Pannu in the pipeline. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. This is the first time SRK and Rajkumar are collaborating. Earlier, during an interaction with The Deadline, the actor had spilled the beans on Dunki. He had said, “It is a comic film. His (Rajkumar Hirani) films are always a mix of comedy and a lot of emotions about the country. So, it is a big journey film, and the film goes through different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India.” Dunki is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 100 crore and is slated to release during Christmas 2023.

On the other hand, Rajkumar Hirani’s last directorial project was Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. Sanju was a box office hit. Given Sanju’s good box office performance (Rs 586.85 crore), fans are excited about his next project with King Khan.

With Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, King Khan is back with a bang!

On the other hand, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rule – Part 2, Prabhas’ Adipurush and Salaar also feature in the list.
