THIS ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant will make her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s next

Malayalam actress Pearle Maaney is going to make her Bollywood debut. She rose to fame with Malayalam ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 1. She will be seen in Anurag Basu’s untitled next. As per a report in Times of India, Pearl spoke about how she got the movie.

Pearle said, “They (makers) spoke to my dad and soon after I got out of ‘Bigg Boss’, my dad told me that I got a call from Anurag sir. I felt it was a dream, as I was still coming to terms with the outside world after being inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ studio for 100 days.”

In Anurag Basu’s untitled film, it has an ensemble star cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi. On working with Abhishek, Pearl said, “He is a very chilled out person and is very down to earth. He used to call me ‘chachi’, which is aunty in Hindi; I kept correcting it to ‘chechi’.”

She said that they are now shooting the fifth schedule of the film and are done with the indoor shoots. The next schedule is in August and the shoot might take place in Goa.

Pearle didn’t tell much about the movie but she said that it’s a dark comedy. “It has a totally different storyline and is an experimental film,” she said.
