Phantom Films ventures into regional space

After making some remarkable Bollywood films, Phantom Films have now collaborated with CineMan to produce a Gujarati social thriller, titled ‘Wrong Side Raju’, which will be directed by Mikhil Musale.

Produced by Nayan Jain, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena & Anurag Kashyap, ‘Wrong Side Raju’ revolves around the life of Raju Ambani played by Pratik Gandhi. Raju, who is a driver by day and bootlegger by night, also has big dreams in life. He falls for a girl and at the same time getting trapped in a hit & run case. The films speaks about predicament when he finds himself in a web of lies.

Anurag Kashyap is all set to launch the trailer of the movie today and this is the first time that Phantom films will be entering the Diaspora of regional cinema. Speaking about the same, Anurag says, “’Wrong Side Raju’ is an exciting story which explores the social fabric of Ahmedabad, and it comes from the guys who made ‘Kevi Rite Jaish’ & ‘Bey Yaar’. For us, it’s always a good story that’s the key and we are happy to go anywhere for it. I am sure that not just in Gujarat, but the audience all over will love the film”.
