It is the Armed Forces Week and numerous Bollywood celebrities are taking it to their respective social media handles, to show solidarity for our soldiers who lay down their life to protect us, without batting an eyelid. After Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Varun Dhawan, now it is superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, who have extended their gratitude towards the soldiers.
SRK shared a picture from the sets of the Aanand L Rai movie he and Anushka are shooting for, captioning it as, “Our soldiers give their tomorrow for our today. They deserve our respect and gratitude. @redchilliesent @kkriders @redchillies.vfx @anushkasharma & ‬‪@aanandlrai team supports them this #ArmedForcesWeek. Jai Hind!‬ @nsitharaman‬”
Anushka too took to her Instagram and shared the same with the caption, “Coming from an army background myself, I feel so proud and absolutely honored to be part of this. Here’s saluting the real life heroes of our nation. Jai Hind! ?? #ArmedForcesWeek @iamsrk #AnandLRai.”
Anushka belongs to an army background, for those unaware. (Also Read:Â Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L Rai played Ludo on sets and guess who won?)

Well, it’s beautiful to see our stars, who have a massive fan following, use their reach to promote a cause which needs attention. Our soldiers need us too, the way we need them.
Shah Rukh and Anushka are currently shooting for Aanand L Rai’s unnamed movie, wherein SRK plays a dwarf. Recently, at an interaction Katrina, who is also a part of the movie, had accidentally revealed the name of the movie to be ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’. However, nothing is final as of now, as there is no confirmation from the makers as well.
Also, last month, a fan page had leaked a picture from the sets of the movie, which was that of a wedding with the board of ‘Bauaa weds Aafiya’, which led to roaring speculations about them being the name of Shah Rukh and Anushka’s characters. Not just that, the movie also boasts of cameos by some of the biggest Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit and more.
This one is set to hit the screens on Christmas next year. We shall be waiting.
