Salman Khan’s upcoming release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘ is set to hit the theaters this Eid. The movie was embroiled in a legal tussle for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of community. A Chitarkoot activist had lodged a complaint alleging that the movie contained scenes which could “hurt religious sentiments of the majority community”, he added that the movie should be banned.
The Allahabad High Court today dismissed the petition seeking a ban on the release of Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan. A division bench, comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Yashwant Verma, turned down the Public Interest Litigation of Anil Pradhan as soon as it came up for hearing.
The court further added that, “the petition does not contain any convincing reason why we should intervene in this matter”.
The Kabir Khan directorial Bajrangi Bhaijaan stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
