Narendra Modi Rishi Kapoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Rishi Kapoor in an emotional post on Twitter after the veteran actor died at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on April 30. Rishi Kapoor was 67. In his tweet, PM Modi called the ‘Mulk’ actor “Multifaceted, endearing and lively”. He also called him “a powerhouse of talent”.

In his tweet, Modi also wrote, “He was passionate about films and India’s progress. Anguished by his demise.”

Towards the end of his tweet, the PM offered his condolences to Rishi Kapoor’s family and fans.

Everyone is mourning the death of the veteran actor. Condolences are pouring in from all across the nation. From Bollywood celebs, sports personalities to politicians, everyone has paid tribute to Rishi Kapoor.

It was in 2018, Rishi Kapoor left the country for his treatment of cancer in New York. He was there for almost a year in the company of his wife Neetu. He was visited by his industry colleagues and friends during his stay.

He returned back to India last year and was hale and hearty. Recently, he was in Delhi and then he caught an infection but later he recovered. Yesterday, he was rushed to the hospital and his brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed that Rishi Kapoor was not well.

Rishi Kapoor was last seen in ‘The Body’ with Emraan Hashmi.
