Pooja Bhatt drops major throwback pictures on mom Lorraine Bright aka Kiran Bhatt’s birthday

Actress Pooja Bhatt took to her Instagram handle today and shared an emotional note on her mother, Lorraine Bright’s birthday. Reminiscing memories of her childhood with Lorraine aka Kiran Bhatt, as she changed her name after marrying filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja shared a glimpse of a birthday card she had made when she was a kiddo.

The Sadak actress wrote, “To my ever gorgeous Mother Lorraine Bright who then went onto become Kiran Bhatt.. Happy Birthday and thank you! There would be no me if there was no you! Not to mention your amazing capacity to preserve and archive details of my life that recede way back in the mists of time.. like this birthday note/card I made you when I was a child! ❤️(sic).”

Kiran Bhatt is Mahesh Bhatt’s first wife and they have two children together Pooja and Rahul Bhatt. Their love story was the inspiration for Mahesh Bhatt’s superhit film Aashiqui. During the shoot of Saaransh, Mahesh met his ‘the one for life’, Soni Razdan, whom he secretly dated for around two years. Since he couldn’t divorce Kiran, Mahesh converted his faith to marry Soni in a secret wedding and even his first wife had no idea about the same. Mahesh and Soni were then blessed with Shaheen Bhatt in 1988 and Alia Bhatt in 1993.

Meanwhile, on the work-front, Pooja Bhatt made a comeback last year with Sadak 2. This year she was seen in Netflix Series Bombay Begums which revolves around the life of five women of different generations who are struggling with their desires, ethics and vulnerabilities to make a mark in male dominated society.
