Pooja Bhatt REACTS to reports claiming Alia Bhatt is her daughter: It is absurd

Pooja Bhatt, who was last seen in Bigg Boss OTT 2, has reacted to claims that Alia Bhatt is her daughter.

Pooja Bhatt was recently seen in the Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss OTT 2. She didn’t win the reality show, but she won many hearts. Now, in a recent interview post Bigg Boss OTT 2, Pooja opened up about the many controversies that she was mired into in the past. The actress, who is known to speak her mind, reacted to claims that Alia Bhatt is her daughter.

Pooja Bhatt reacts to ‘absurd’ rumours

Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja said, “These rumours are idiotic. Yeh toh humare desh mein bahut purani cheez hai (This is not new in our country).”

She added, “Start talking about somebody’s relationship with their daughter or with their bhabhi or with their sister or with their whatever. Now, how do you counteract that? Ke aap iss cheez ko dignity bhi de sakte hai respond kar ke? It is absurd.”

Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt share a close bond. Before the finale, Alia had showed her support for Pooja. During Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani promotions, Alia was asked about Pooja and she had said, “Woh waha hai, wohi mere liye jeet hai (She’s there, that is victory for me).”

Pooja is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter with his first wife Kiran Bhatt. They also have a son named Rahul Bhatt. Later, in 1986, Mahesh married Soni Razdan with whom he shares two daughters – Alia and Shaheen Bhatt.

On the work front, Pooja made her big screen debut with the romamtic comedy Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin opposite Aamir Khan. She later went on to appear in many films Junnon, Jaanam, Chaahat, and Border among others. She made her directorial debut with Paap and since then has directed many movies.

On the other hand, Alia is one of the top actresses of Bollywood. She made her debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year and then there was no looking back for her. The actress recently delivered a terrific performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She also made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. Alia will be next seen in Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif.
