Pooja Bhatt claps back at Twitter user who dismissed her views on rape culture: Don’t try to control me

In B-town we have a very few celebs who fearlessly voice their opinions on political as well as social issues. Actress-director Pooja Bhatt is one of them. The actress recently shared her views on rape culture. However, when a Twitter user dismissed her views and asked her to stop sharing ‘gyan’ on these subjects, Pooja gave a befitting reply to him. Read on to know how the actress schooled the user.

On the microblogging site, Pooja sharing her views on the rape culture had tweeted, “Rape itself is a political act. It is not merely about gender violence. It is used to subjugate, persecute, humiliate, eventually exercise control.” Commenting on the actress’ post, a Twitter user wrote, “Aap is pe gyan mat pelie(Don’t give lecture on this).”

As the user had Shah Rukh Khan’s picture as his display pic, Pooja asked him to learn a thing or two from the superstar. Giving him an apt reply, Pooja wrote, “Aur aap mujhe ‘control’ karne ki koshish na kijiye. Aap #SRK ke fan hai? Unse kuch seekhiye. Woh Mahila ke vibhinn opinions ya ‘gyan’ ko dismiss Nahin karte hai. Warna unki Tasveer aapke DP se hata dijiye (Don’t try to ‘control’ me. You call yourself a Shah Rukh Khan fan? Learn from him. He never dismisses women’s opinions. If you cannot be like him, remove his photo as your profile picture).”
