Pooja Bhatt slams TikToker Faizal Siddiqui for acid attack video; says, “This man needs to be taken to task”

Pooja Bhatt has lashed out at TikToker Faizal Siddiqui for ‘glorifying’ acid attack on women through a video. Pooja took to her Twitter handle to slam him. The video shows Faizal threatening a girl for leaving him for another guy. He then splashes water on her face. The girl’s face is covered with heavy makeup that shows the damage done to her face due to the acid. She also slammed the girl who featured on the video along with Faizal.

Pooja tweeted, “What on earth is wrong with people? This is depraved. How can you allow this kind of content on your platform @TikTok_IN This man needs to be taken to task. As for the woman in the video-do you realise what immense harm you are causing by participating in this?”

The video was taken down after the National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma wrote to the DGP of Maharashtra Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, demanding action against it.

Faizal issued a clarification on Monday and apologised for what he had done. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “My intention was never to hurt anyone in any capacity. As a social media influencer, I realise my responsibility and apologise to anyone who was offended by the video.”
