A few days ago, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Palak Tiwari grabbed attention. It was so when she commented about Salman Khan having a rule on sets for women not wearing low necklines. Palak clarified that her statement was misunderstood as soon as it backfired. Now, Pooja Hegde the leading lady in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has reacted to Palak’s comment.
Here’s what Pooja Hegde had to say…
While talking about her experience with Salman, Pooja heaped praises on her Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star. Pooja told a leading portal,
He is been great that way with me. I think, even I, as a person, am very protective about my own people, my family, and all of that. I am one of those ‘apna’ people. So, it’s been great that way. He is who he is and says what’s on his mind; that’s very refreshing for me. It’s been great.”
The actress further added…
It’s also because he speaks his mind. A lot of people think it but they don’t say it whereas he says what’s on his mind. It is very clear and that can sometimes make people be like ‘Oh my God!’ It takes you aback because you are not used to people speaking their minds.”
Recently, Shehnaaz also reacted to Palak’s statement. While interacting with the media, Shehnaaz, who is making her Bollywood debut with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, stated that there was no such rule on the sets. She added, “I never received a request for compliance with such a restriction.”
Earlier, in an interview Palak said, that during her AD stint for Antim: The Final Truth, Salman had a rule for women to be covered on sets at all times and also avoid wearing low-neckline outfits. The actress further called Salman a ‘traditionalist’ and added that the rules for women were for their own safety.
Palak also clarified her statement soon after facing backlash and said,
It has really been misunderstood. All I wanted to say is that I have put certain guidelines for myself as to how to dress around people who are way senior to me, who have I pretty much grown up idolising. Salman sir is of course one of them.”
Like Shehnaaz, Palak too is making her debut in Bollywood with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Bhumika Chawla are also a part of the film. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan releases in theatres on 21st April 2023. The advance booking for the film has already begun.
