Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma Thakeria Dhillon to make her film debut opposite Sunny Deol’s son Rajveer Deol

Recently when Zoya Akhtar released the teaser presenting the cast of her next musical drama, The Archies, it left the audience quite excited as it marks the debut of three kids from the Hindi film industry– Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. This morning, some more good news came as the debut of another star kid has been announced. Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma Thakeria Dhillon will be making her Hindi film debut opposite Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer Deol.

Rajshri Productions took to social media today to announce the leading lady in their next production. Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma Thakeria Dhillon will be starring opposite Rajveer Deol in their next helmed by Avnish Barjatya, Sooraj Barjatya’s son, and it also marks his directorial debut. Avnish has assisted his father on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and is also the AD on his father’s next, Uunchai, which is currently being shot. Along with the announcement of Paloma coming on board, the production house wrote, “Rajshri Productions is proud to announce Paloma opposite Rajveer Deol in Rajshri’s next, helmed by Avnish Barjatya. A memorable journey begins! (sic)”

While Paloma’s mother, Poonam Dhillon was one of the most sought-after leading actresses in the Hindi film industry during the ’80s, her brother Anmol Thakeria Dhillon also made his Hindi film debut last year with the romcom Tuesdays & Fridays. Meanwhile, Rajveer is following the footsteps of his family, who have been in the business for three generations. Rajveer’s brother Karan Deol was the last person from Deol family to make his Hindi film debut in 2019 with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Coincidentally, Sunny and Poonam have starred opposite each other in films like Sohni Mahiwal and Samundar and now their respective kids are all set to begin their journey in showbiz opposite each other.
