Shah Rukh Khan, who is busy wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming release ‘Raees’ in Gujarat, is now being given extra security cover by the Gujarat police. The decision was taken after the Badshah’s car was attacked by miscreants as he was shooting for the Rahul Dholakia film in the area.
The move by the Gujarat police become evident when a special squad was deployed with the ‘Raees’ crew when they went to Adalaj stepwell to continue shooting for the film there. Gandhinagar district police had deployed over 150 personnel, including a deputy superintendent of police, two inspectors, and 10 sub-inspectors.
Shivanand Jha, city police commissioner revealed, “Security of the actor and the film crew has been reviewed and police deployment has been increased for the future instances as well. As several schedules for the film are taking place in and around Ahmedabad in upcoming days for which permissions have been sought. Therefore, hotels for actors and the vehicles used by them would also be covered under security plan.”
Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Raees’ stars Shah Rukh Khan as a bootlegger turned politician with Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan marking her debut in Bollywood opposite King Khan. The film also has Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the role of a police inspector. The film will be releasing on July 3.
