Poster War – ‘Filmistaan’ vs ‘Holiday’

There was usually a tug of war between actors, movies but now a new trend has developed of Poster War. As UTV supported Filmistan has launched a Poster War on Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Holiday, urging fans to stay away from the latter. Filmistaan has released posters carrying tag lines like, ‘Don’t waste your time on a holiday. Watch ‘Filmistaan’ on 6th June!’ and ‘A good film is never off-duty. Watch ‘Filmistaan’ on 6th June!’

As per sources, Holiday producer Vipul Shah said, “Let them do what they wish. I have no problem if they want to use my film’s title in their posters. If they want, I can even lend them my film’s logo! Their marketing experts are sensible people who must have devised this strategy after much deliberation.”

The Filmistan team denied and said that it was done in jest and today the market is there for small and big films together.

Holiday and Filmistaan both are releasing on June 6. May the best win this tug of war.
