Is Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush releasing on Diwali? Bhushan Kumar drops hint

Pan India star Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer magnum Opus Adipurush is one of the much-awaited releases of 2022.  The movie also features Saif Ali Khan in a pivotal role. Recently, Aamir Khan thanked the makers for letting go of the August 11, release date for his movie Laal Singh Chadha.

The team of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer revealed that the makers of Adipurush postponed their release date so that Laal Singh Chaddha could release on August 11. Since then fans were curious to know the new release date of the mythological drama.

In a candid chat with Pinkvilla T-series owner Bhushan Kumar spilled the beans on the release date of the highly talked about film.

Bhushan Kumar said, “Right now, we have not decided on a release date for Adipurush. Once decided, we shall announce it. There are some other films already announced for Diwali weekend, so we need to see which date we can come on.”

Recently in an interview with Variety, Om Raut said that Adipurush is a retelling of Ramayana using modern storytelling methods. He further added that Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan will not be known as Ram Sita and Ravana but Prabhas will play the role of Raghav, Kriti as Janaki and Saif will play Lankesh.

The movie is bankrolled by T-Series and will be shot in Telugu and Hindi. It will also be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada. The team has wrapped up shooting for the film and it is currently in the post-production stage. Once the postproduction work is completed the makers will announce the release date.
