Prabhas starrer Salaar was earlier scheduled to release on 28 September 2023. However, the makers released a statement confirming that the release has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. While there was buzz that Prabhas starrer Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire will reportedly witness a clash with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki. Now, Prashanth Neel’s Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire new release date is finally out.
Salaar new release date
After much speculation, the makers have now confirmed and released the official release date of Salaar. The film is all set to release on 22 December 2023. Announcing the release date, the makers have shared a new poster of Salaar that features Prabhas covered in blood with a weapon in his hand. The picture was captioned, “Coming Bloody Soon! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release On Dec 22, 2023.”
Prabhas starrer Salaar to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki
Well, looking at the release date, it looks like the year-end will be crucial at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki is also releasing on the same date. While King Khan is already taking the box office by storm and Rajkumar Hirani has a phenomenal track record, it will be interesting to witness who wins this time. Prabhas’ previous releases like Adipurush, Radhe Shyam, and Saaho tanked at the ticket windows. Director Prashanth Neel, known for directing the KGF franchise boasts a good track record at the box office.
About Salaar
When the teaser was released earlier this year, it was confirmed that ‘Salaar’ would be released in two parts. The first installment, titled Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. The film also features Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in pivotal roles.
