On Monday, President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma awards (one of the highest civilian awards) to 56 prominent personalities. The award function was held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Among the awardees from the entertainment industry include Manoj Bajpayee, Prabhudheva, Shankar Mahadevan and late Kader Khan.
Choreographer, filmmaker and actor Prabhudheva received the award for his contribution towards art and dance. Here’s the tweet by the President of India on Prabhudheva while he gives away the Padma Shri.

Music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan got the prestigious award for his great works in the field of music.
