Deepika Padukone is a family person and despite staying away from her parents, she makes sure to be with her family whenever possible. Her family too has been with her through all her thick and thins. Deepika is a doting daughter to her parents and with all the support and blessings of her family, she is going to tie the knot with her beau Ranveer Singh soon. Their wedding is in less than a month and ahead of the marriage, her dad, Prakash Padukone has spoken as to how he used to feel reading the link-up gossips of his daughter.
In an interview with India Today, Mr Padukone said that initially, he found difficult to see all the link-up columns of Deepika but now he is used to it. Adding to it he said, “Some of it – what is being reported is true, but some of it is absolutely not correct. But it is a part and parcel of… you can’t have only good things. One has to accept it.”
Deepika then said, “Like athletes, you can’t only have the trophies and not the injuries. That’s not to say that the speculation will not continue. I think that’s a part and parcel of what we do.”

When he was asked as to how he feels to be called as Deepika’s father, he said, “It’s a moment of pride for any parent when their child has achieved so much.”
Deepika and Ranveer had recently announced their wedding on November 14 and 15. Reportedly, they will exchange vows at Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como in Italy.
