‘Prassthanam’ : The title track of this Sanjay Dutt’s political drama is lackluster

After unveiling the trailer of Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Prassthanam’, the makers have dropped in its first song. The political drama helmed by Deva Katta is all about the fight for power and position, so naturally, its title track is all about the dynamics of this game of thrones. However, it lacks the quality to make an impact.

Crooned by Dev Negi, ‘Prassthanam’s title track is composed and written by Farhad Samji. In the track, we see several montages from the film where everyone is plotting and planning their next move. In this fight for legacy, blood relations and integrity simply don’t matter.  Unlike the film’s trailer, its title track is lacklustre.

In this political-drama, Dutt is playing politician Baldev Pratap Singh. Also starring Ali Fazal, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Chunky Panday, Satyajeet Dubey and Amyra Dastur, ‘Prassthanam’ is all set to hit the silver screens on September 20.

This film is a remake of the 2010 Telugu film of the same name. Produced by Sanjay S Dutt Productions and Maanayata Dutt, ‘Prassthanam’ is Dutt’s second release of this year.
