Prateik Babbar has been booked by Goa police for rash driving. As per reports, on Wednesday evening, he dashed his car into a scooter on the Panaji-Mapusa highway. The police asked him for the blood sample to check whether he was drunk or not and the actor refused to do so.
Porvorim police station inspector Paresh Naik told PTI, “When Babbar was taken for medical examination at the state-run Asilo Hospital in Mapusa town, he refused to give his blood sample.”
A case under the Motor Vehicles Act was registered, and police are also probing into to check as Babbar could also be booked under IPC sections as the scooter rider stated in his complaint that Babbar tried to threaten him after the incident.
Paulo Correa, the complainant, alleged Prateik’s car dashed against his scooter when he was riding with his sister. The actor was not ready to accept the mishap caused by him and he used filthy words for Paulo. Also, he filed a complaint against Paulo, alleging that he vandalised his car’s window-shield. On Thursday, he was also called for an investigation by the Porvorim police.
