In pics: Prateik Babbar marries longtime girlfriend Sanya Sagar

The year 2018 ended on a happy and bright note for Bollywood as several bigwigs of the industry including Deepika-Ranveer, Priyanka Chopra tied the knot. Likewise, 2019 also started on a happy note for the Bollywood celebs. Notably, Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar tied the knot with Sanya Sagar on Wednesday.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate two-day wedding ceremony in Lucknow that was held on January 22 and 23. The reception will soon be held in Mumbai.

In the pictures, Prateik is seen in a cream-coloured kurta with an orange shawl and orange turban. He is holding coconut in his hand. As per sources, a number of prominent politicians, family members and friends graced the occasion.

The wedding festivities of Prateik Babbar and Sanya Sagar began on Tuesday and pictures of the Mehendi and haldi ceremony are making the rounds of social media.

Prateik who is actor cum politician Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil’s son has entertained fans in movies like ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jane Na’ and ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ he was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Mulk’. The actor will next be seen in ‘Chhichhore’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Sanya Sagar is Bahujan Samaj Party leader Pawan Sagar’s daughter. She is a NIFT graduate in fashion communication and went to London Film Academy for a diploma in practical filmmaking.

Last year on January 22, on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, Prateik Babbar got engaged to Sanya Sagar. They were dating each other for eight years.
