The Amazon Rainforest, which is known as the lungs of the planet and provides 20% of oxygen to the planet, is burning. The fire was so huge that the smoke caused a blackout in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to data from Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research, Amazon has experienced 74,155 fires since January. NPE researcher Alberto Setzer told Reuters, “The dry season creates the favorable conditions for the use and spread of fire, but starting a fire is the work of humans, either deliberately or by accident.”
People from all across the world are showing their concern on social media about the Amazon Rainforest. Also, our Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Dia Mirza, Alia Bhatt and Bipasha Basu among others have tweeted and posted on the same.
