Preity Zinta was the first choice for Kareena Kapoor’s THIS film

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is one actress, who believes in being honest and transparent. The ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actress has always walked the talk on various issues and is not afraid to call spade a spade. Now, according to reports, Preity Zinta was the first choice for the female lead in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’.

According to a report in Filmibeat, Preity Zinta opened up regarding the offer of ‘Jab We Met’ and said, “There is a karmic connection between Kareena and me. We both are in very good karma with each other because she said no to ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ and I said no to ‘Jab We Met.” 

Preity further says that she has no regrets in turning down the role of Geet in ‘Jab We Met’.

Incidentally, Preity Zinta had replaced Kareena Kapoor in Dharma Productions’ ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, which was directed by debutant Nikkhil Advani. Both, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ turned out to be hits and as they say, everything happens for a reason.

Now, Kareena and Preity are both happily married. Preity Zinta was recently seen in Suuny Deol starrer ‘Bhaiaji Superhit’. Kareena Kapoor will begin shooting for Karan Johar directorial ‘Takht’.
