Veteran actor Prem Chopra and his wife Uma have tested COVID positive. They are hospitalised in Mumbai and are recuperating. Prem Chopra and his wife Uma have been admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after they tested COVID positive. The veteran actor, who has featured in several Bollywood films and is popular for his villainous roles is seeking treatment from Dr Jalil Parkar. According to reports, the actor and his wife have received the monoclonal antibody cocktail. As per reports, the veteran actor and his wife are expected to be discharged in a day or two.
An ETimes report said that Chopra, at age 86 is responding well to the treatment. In a significant development, a paparazzo account on Instagram informed that actor Rohit Roy, a close relative of Chopra’s confirmed that the veteran actor is doing well.
While the news about Prem Chopra testing positive has made headlines, earlier on Monday, producer Ekta Kapoor informed that she has tested positive. She informed everyone that she has contracted the virus and requested all to get themselves tested.

Before Ekta Kapoor, actor John Abraham took to his Instagram stories to inform that he and his wife Priya Runchal have contracted the virus. The actor penned a long note and explained how he got the virus. He mentioned that he and his wife are in quarantine at home and are taking necessary precautions.
Actress Alaya F also shared on Monday that she had tested positive for COVID-19 recently. She mentioned that she has now tested negative, after taking the test twice.
Amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases, in the past few days, celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Seema Khan, Nakuul Mehta, had contracted the virus. They have recovered. Actors Mrunal Thakur and Nora Fatehi who also tested positive for the virus are currently in quarantine and are recuperating.
