Deepika Padukone is an extension of her royal, reel life character ‘Padmavati’ in real life too. Whether she’s wearing a seemingly casual cotton dress or carrying an unfancy backpack, the Bollywood star has a penchant for all things extravagant and is hardly seen wearing something with a price tag that is less staggering for our ears. This time too, Deepika has managed to amaze us with her not-so-easy-on-the-pocket choices. The actress was the guest at Neha Dhupia’s TV Show – Vogue BFFs that she attended with sister, Anisha Padukone. Wearing a gingham print one-shoulder top that had the length of a maxi dress by Rosetta Getty from her Pre Fall 2017 collection, the lady exuded charisma as she happily posed for the shutterbugs with a broad grin. Celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani clubbed the floor-length number with a pair of blue jeans from Topshop and a matching waist tie detail that accentuated her slender frame.

For finishing touches, Ms. Padukone chose silver Aquazzura pumps, Misho’s textured hoops, pulled-back hair and a pop of red on the lips (that’s exactly how we like it). But just wait until we get to the price of those sterling silver earrings that she’s flaunting. The MISHO earrings can be purchased for Rs. 16,800 online and are also available in gold colour. What’s so special about the textured hoops? Well, they are inspired by the landscape seen from a bird’s eye view and have a handcrafted sculpted surface. Ahem, it does sound fancy!

Well, we could just take a walk down our local market and find a lot of prettier pieces (no, seriously!) that will not cause a dent in our pockets. We’re just calculating how many earrings can we possibly buy with that moolah? The math can be startling. We can stock up on at least six months of junk jewellery with that money! Are we overthinking? Okay, at least three months, for sure! What say?
