Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Diljit Dosanjh in New Year 2025, praises him; says, He’s truly multifaceted

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met acclaimed Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh in New Year on Wednesday (January 1). He praised the singer for his remarkable work and called him “truly multifaceted”. The singer stated that it was “a memorable interaction” and a “fantastic start to 2025.”

Prime Minister Modi took to Instagram and shared his memorable moments from the meeting with Diljit and wrote, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more…’

As Prime Minister Modi lauded him, the Punjabi singer, sharing his own experience, wrote, “A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodiJi. We talked about a lot of things including music of course.” Take a look at the pictures and videos of their meeting here:

Diljit also presented the Prime Minister with a poster of his Dil-Luminati tour of India. They had an interaction about the power of yoga and shared their experiences of their travels across India. PM Modi also spoke about Diljit’s humble beginnings and said, “When a boy from an Indian village goes out in the world and shines, then, I feel really proud.”

Diljit also talked about his experience across India and said, “India is a big country, and it derives its strength from there. That is why it is a vibrant society.”

Diljit had his months-long blockbuster Dil-Luminati tour which ended with a grand performance in Ludhiana. He also dedicated his Guwahati concert to late Dr Manmohan Singh.
