Music Composer Pritam’s father Prabodh Chakraborty passes away

Pritam Chakraborty who is also known as Pritam is one of the most loved and popular music composers in Bollywood. The musician lost his father on May 24. Pritam’s father, Prabodh Chakraborty was 86-years-old. He was suffering from Parkinson and Alzheimer disease.

According to a report in PTI, a source was quoted saying as, “Pritam, his mother and sister were with Prabodh Chakraborty in the hospital till the end. He was suffering from Parkinson and Alzheimer.” Talking about the last rites in the time of Covid-19, the source further revealed, “Given the coronavirus spread, the entire family was responsible and all the religious formalities were done with minimal attendance of immediate family.”

The funeral of Prabodh Chakraborty took place on the same day of his demise in Amboli.

On the work front, Pritam has been part of several big-ticket movies. He has composed tracks of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and now for his further projects, has been roped in for three major films- ’83’, ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
