Prithviraj: Akshay Kumar & Manushi Chhillar-starrer get a NEW release date

Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year. Now, here’s a piece of good news for Akshay Kumar’s fans as now the movie will hit the cinemas a week before its earlier scheduled opening. Yes, you read that right! It’ll now release on June 3, this year. Earlier, the film was slated to be released in theatres on June 10, 2022.

The announcement was made by the Sooryavanshi actor on his social media. Akshay also shared a new posted along with the news and captioned it as: “Elated to announce that Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan’s grand saga is arriving sooner on the big screen on 3rd June in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. “

This movie also marks the debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar debut in the Hindi film industry. She will be playing her role Sanyogita, while Akshay will essay the role of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters.

The makers had unveiled the teaser of the film in November 2021.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya. Meanwhile, the movie is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty.

Meanwhile, apart from Prithviraj, the Mission Mangal actor also has interesting movies in his pipeline. He will be seen next in films like- Ram Setu, Bachchhan Paandey, Raksha Bandhan, OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2, Selfiee, Gorkha, Bade Miya Chote Miyan and Mission Cinderella among others.
