A source close to the family stated in an interview, “Sophie and Joe kept a lot of their friends separate, but a few are caught in the middle of this mess. She and So­phie were very close. There was once a time when Sophie thought she and Joe would move to London and so would Nick and Priyanka. Priyanka loves Sophie and her nieces and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopar­dise them being in her life.“

During Sophie’s wedding with Joe in 2019, the actress in an interview said, “I’ve never had a sister, so it’s really nice to have Danielle and Sophie, and just inheriting the family by proxy. By the time this comes out, she’ll be the new Mrs Jonas – I can’t wait for her to join the family.”

Gushing about Priyanka’s hard work, the Game of Thrones actress once said, “With Pri, especially, it’s kind of crazy. You have to remind yourself that she’s basically had a 20-year career in Bollywood already. She’s like the biggest thing in India right now“. Sophie also mentioned the craze behind Priyanka in India. “When we went there for her and Nick’s wedding, we were treated like royalty. They worship her over there”.

Amid this, the actress was also seen skipping sister Parineeti Chopra’s wedding. Although she shared a note congratulating her, her presence was missed.
