Priyanka Chopra recalls how her 75-feet-long veil gave her neck cramp on her wedding day

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had one of the most dreamy weddings. And the internet was flooded with pictures and videos from their royal wedding. The couple looked gorgeous as ever as they had a traditional Hindu as well as a Christian wedding. But the scene-stealer was PeeCee’s wedding veil that made everyone’s jaw hit the floor.

The Barfi actress’ veil was 75-feet-long and it was beautiful with the lace and beadwork. But, it was no cakewalk to carry that oh-so-long veil as it ended giving Priyanka a neck cramp. The actress revealed that the extravagant wedding gown by Ralph Lauren had become a pain in the neck quite literally.

In her recent interview on the Australian radio, The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Priyanka was heard discussing her desire to break the world record for having the longest veil ever. But the actress said that she did not even consider the challenge when she saw what she was competing against. Co-host Jackie Henderson mentioned how Priyanka wanted the longest veil ever but she was beaten by another woman who had a veil as long as ’15 football fields’. Priyanka called it crazy.

Jackie jokingly said, “It’s like she grabbed the role of tulle from the haberdashery store, it was nothing like yours. Priyanka replied, “I still had a cramp on my neck from that one evening. If mine at 75 feet was so heavy and sewn on to my hair, then I could just imagine that woman’s tulle, 15 football fields?”.

The Fashion actress revealed that she knew of the lady with the longest veil and did not bother competing. “I googled it when we were having the conversation about my veil and I was like, ‘okay I’m out of this race. I’m not even going to try, as competitive as I am, ” said the actress.
