Priyanka Chopra, and not Amitabh Bachchan to be ambassador of Incredible India?

The government of India had decided to enroll a new brand ambassador for Incredible India. This was after they decided not to renew the contract with Aamir Khan as the brand ambassador of ‘Atulya Bharat’, a global marketing campaign to promote Indian tourism. Thereafter, the suggested names were of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and versatile beauty Priyanka Chopra.

Now with Amitabh Bachchan’s name cropping up in Panama paper leaks, it seems that Priyanka Chopra will be named as the sole ambassador of Incredible India. The ‘Mary Kom’ actress, who won the People’s Choice Award for ‘Favourite Actress in a TV Series’ and also presented at the Oscars this year, has become a household name and gained the status of an international icon.

However, Big B has given a statement that he has never been approached to be a brand ambassador of Incredible India. Union Tourism minister Mahesh Sharma has denied that they have dropped the name of Amitabh Bachchan from the list. He affirmed that the Ministry is yet to take a decision.

So let us wait and watch who gets selected as the next brand ambassador of Incredible India.
