Priyanka Chopra to be appointed as the brand ambassador for Assam Tourism

Actress Priyanka Chopra is back in Mumbai and even before she has a breather, she has another new reason to rejoice and keep herself busy. The actress has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Assam tourism. She will be promoting the brand entity of ‘Awesome Assam’. The actress will be visiting Assam on December 24 and address the international tour operators.

The Tourism Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarman confirmed the same to a leading web portal. He said, “We have signed an agreement with Priyanka and she is engaged as the brand ambassador of the state tourism. The agreement is for two years. The Bollywood actress will not charge anything for the brand ambassador assignment. She will charge professional charges for the work she will do in photo shoots and television commercials.”

Woah! PeeCee hasn’t charged a single penny for this new agreement.

The Minister further explained that Priyanka was chosen because they felt that she will connect to a mass audience. Work wise, the actress has wrapped up the second season of ‘Quantico’ and is back in Mumbai to announce her upcoming Bollywood projects and also make an appearance in the show ‘Koffee With Karan 5’.
