NickYanka wedding: Priyanka Chopra’s Bareilly home beautifully decorated by local residents

Priyanka Chopra is now officially Mrs. Nick Jonas. The ‘Quantico’ actress has tied the knot according to both Christian and Hindu traditions. The Desi Girl married the love of her life in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan palace yesterday and the wedding certainly lived up to its expectations as it was a spectacular affair to say the least.

Now, we all know that Priyanka Chopra is from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly and still gets emotional talking about it. Despite becoming a global phenomenon, PeeCee has not forgotten her roots and is very much grounded. And as per recent reports, local residents from her hometown have decorated Priyanka’s childhood home and also burst firecrackers.

Bareilly was also the workplace of Priyanka Chopra’s late father, Ashok Chopra and mother Madhu Chopra as her parents used to run Kasturba Hospital in Bareilly. Priyanka is also attached to her hometown since the actress has received her initial schooling from Bareilly’s Army School.

As per news agency PTI report, Parameshwar Rai Pandey, who is the caretaker of the ancestral house of Priyanka in Bareilly said, “Despite not getting any invitation of their bitiyaa’s marriage, people of the city illuminated their houses with fairy lights and distributed sweets to celebrate the moment on Saturday.”

Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra expressed her happiness and was touched by the gesture of the Bareilly residents.

In the video clip of the sangeet ceremony that was shared by the actress, we can see Chopras and Jonas family performing different kinds of skits. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra also did their special kind of performances. The sangeet celebrations encapsulated the love between Priyanka and Nick.
