Priyanka Chopra does her bit by clapping from US to show gratitude to medical workers

Not only the common men, but the entire film industry supported PM Narendra Modi’s call for a ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22. PM Modi also urged citizens to come to their balconies, windows, and doors at 5 pm on Sunday to give a shout-out and express gratitude by clapping, banging on their utensils or ringing bells for people who have been providing medical and other essential services during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana among others came out to their balconies to support the initiative by PM Modi.

Priyanka Chopra who is currently out of India also did her bit. PeeCee also joined the moment and shared a video of her clapping from her US apartment to show her gratitude for the unsung heroes. Sharing the video she wrote, “People around the world have shown appreciation for the doctors, nurses, and all first responders battling #Covid19 by clapping on their balconies. Although I couldn’t be there in India today to join, I am there in spirit.”

A couple of days back Nick Jonas shared a video where he and his wife Priyanka were showing their concern over the coronavirus crisis. In the video, Nick says, “I know it is an unsure time for all of us but hope you are doing okay. Sending everyone positive vibes.” Priyanka then adds, “Let’s just take care of each other and hope everyone is safe out there. Just lots of love.”
