Priyanka Chopra thanks Hugh Jackman as he lends support to her Covid-19 fundraiser for India

X-Men star Hugh Jackman is one of the latest international celebrities to support Priyanka Chopra in helping out India with Covid relief. The Hollywood star was seen amplifying Priyanka Chopra’s voice in raising funds for the Covid-19 crisis in India. Hugh took to his Instagram account and shared the links to Priyanka’s fundraiser on Thursday.

Hugh took to his social media account and sharing the poster of Priyanka’s fundraiser with Give India on his stories, he wrote, “Support India.” Not just that, Priyanka also reposted Hugh’s story on her own Instagram handle and she was grateful to Hugh as she thanked him and his wife Deborra Lee Ann.

Apart from Hugh Jackman, other international celebrities who have come out in support of India are, Ellen Degeneres, Lana Condor, Jada Pinkett Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Katy Perry, Richard Madden, Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello.

Meanwhile, Priyanka had made a heart-touching appeal to all her fans and followers for coming out in support of India. Sharing a video on Instagram, she had said, “India, my home, is suffering the world’s worst Covid crisis, and we all need to help! People are dying in record numbers. There is illness everywhere, and it’s only continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale.”

She further said, “I have set up a fundraiser with GiveIndia, the largest organization on the ground in India providing Covid relief. Whatever you can spare, truly makes a difference. Nearly 63 million people follow me on here, if even 100,000 of you donate $10, that’s $1 Million, and that’s huge. Your donation will go directly to healthcare physical infrastructure (including Covid care centres, Isolation centers, and oxygen generation plants), medical equipment, and vaccine support and mobilization.”
