Priyanka Chopra froze her eggs in her early 30s: The biological clock is for real

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child a baby girl through surrogacy. The power couple named her Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Earlier many other Bollywood celebrities spoken about freezing their eggs. And now the actress in a recent interview revealed that she froze her eggs in her early 30s at the suggestion of her mom Madhu Chopra. Priyanka’s mother is an obstetrician-gynaecologist.

Priyanka Chopra on freezing eggs at 30’s

During her interaction with Dax Shepherd for a podcast, Priyanka revealed that she had frozen her eggs in her 30s. She said, “I felt such freedom, I did it in my early thirties and I could continue on an ambitious warpath, I wanted to achieve, and I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. Also, I had not met the person I wanted to have children with. So, with that anxiety-inducing, and with my mom who is an ob-gyn (obstetrician-gynaecologist) going just do it‘.”

She added, “My mom had said this to me, and I did do it for myself as well. I tell all my younger friends that the biological clock is real. It gets so much harder to get pregnant after 35 and to carry to term and all of that. Especially with women that have been working all their lives. But science is at such an amazing place right now where if you can afford it, I tell people you save money for a car, do it for this Christmas, this is the best gift you will give yourself because you are taking the power of your biological clock. You can work for however long, your eggs will be of the same age as when you froze them.”

Priyanka further added that she at first tried to avoid dating Nick Jonas. The reason is that she loves kids and wanted to have them, but was unsure if Nick would like to be apparent at 25. Peecee further revealed she loves kids and likes to spend time with them. She has also worked with kids at UNICEF and also volunteered at kids’ hospitals. Kids are welcome to her home anytime.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has, Russo Brothers’ Citadel co-starring Richard Madden. It will premiere on Prime Video on April 28, 2023. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. The movie has the actress sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
