For many decades now, a woman’s body has been subjected to unnecessary scrutiny. If you’re a woman and into showbiz, you’re even more likely to undergo uncomfortable judgments. Priyanka Chopra, who after conquering Bollywood is slowly taking over the West now, recently talked about the issue of body-shaming and how to deal with it.
“I think it happens to all of us especially in our business where you are supposed to look a certain way, dress a certain way and yeah you get the pressure from everyone around you saying ‘you used to fit into that dress last month and this month you don’t’… Not just for people in the business but girls, in general, have to look a certain way,” PeeCee said.
“You need to figure out what your strengths are, put them in a box and just focus on those, all your weaknesses just disappear after that and you focus on what’s good for you,” she added.
We hope every woman out of there is so powerful to combat such outer turn-offs!
